3 Reasons You NEED Branded Merch

When it comes to promoting your business, there’s nothing more tried and true than merch. Seriously, everyone from your customers to your employees to random people you meet at networking events loves getting “free stuff,” so why not bring a smile to their faces and embed your logo in their brains at the same time?

In this post, we’re going to take a look at 3 reasons why you should absolutely consider incorporating promotional products into both your internal and external marketing plans.

Useful and Tangible

Okay fine. Some promotional items we’ve seen have been maybe a little bit less than useful, but they’re tangible! Someone can pick them up. Toss them in a bag. If it’s in their way and they’re sick of looking at it they have to move it physically.

And MOST of the ones we’ve seen (and all of the ones we create, of course!) are useful. Need a pen? Here’s one with our logo. Gotta jot down a quick note? Make sure you do it on this sticky note with our phone number. Cold at your desk? This cool fleece zip-up in your brand colors will keep you nice and cozy!

Instant Pick-Me-Up

Pens, post-its, and mugs are all useful, but you know what else they are? A little serotonin boost.

People LOVE getting free stuff. Seriously think about it. If you’re out and about running errands and you see a table at the grocery store saying to put your business card in the bucket for a chance to win a free [insert thing here], you’re probably going to do it. Even if you don’t need it. Heck, even if you don’t know what the thing even is! Because people – yes, even you – love free things.

When you’re handing out promotional products, you’re helping people not only associate your brand with a need they might have to fill but also with a happy, feel-good moment in time. Win-win!

Cheaper Than A Celeb Endorsement

We’re going to cut straight to the chase. Unless you’re a MAJORLY HUGE company, you probably aren’t going to have Taylor Swift or Beyonce publicly promoting your products.

Until your company reaches rockstar-brand-ambassador status, the next best thing is to let regular, everyday people (and there are way more of them running around than celebs anyway!) promote your products for you.

Even if they aren’t actively promoting your product and shouting their love for you from the rooftops, if someone sees them with a mug/pen/fleece/sticky notes/whatever, it creates some brand awareness that comes with the added benefit of a personal recommendation (even if the person doing the recommending doesn’t even realize they’re doing it!).

Are you ready to stick your logo on everything that can be nailed down – and some things that can’t (because, y’all, we do balloons!)? Then let’s chat!
